Biryani gravy recipe (2nd version)/Easy gravy for biryani or parota

Spicy gravy for biryani/parota (in 15 mins!!)

   
I have already posted restaurant style simple gravy for biryani . This version is another addition to the same with very few aliter yielding a completely different flavours and delectable gravy.It tastes awesome with biryani,parota and even with idlies/dosas.My sis loves this with dosa.Give it a try and feel the yumm..

Cooking time: 10 mins
Serves - 3

We need:

To Grind

Coconut-1/2 cup
Red chilies-2
Chili powder-1 tsp
Pepper Powder-2 tsp
Garam Masala-1 tsp
Ginger - Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
Roasted Gram dal-1 tsp 
Coriander leaves-Handful
Curry leaves-1 sprig
Water-2 tbsp

For Gravy

Tomato-1 chopped rough
Curry leaves-1 sprig
Coriander powder-2 tsp
Chili powder-1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt-as required
Oil-1 tbsp

 Method:

  1. Grind all the ingredients given under "To grind" into a smooth paste.Roasted gram dal thickens the gravy.Try to add it if you need thick gravy.
  2. Heat oil in a pan,add curry leaves and pour the ground masala. Saute it for 3-5 minutes until oil seperates .
  3. Add tomato,salt,coriander leaves,curry leaves,water along with spice powders and salt . Bring the gravy to boil.
  4. Check salt and boil it for 5 minutes to desired consistency .
  5. Off the flame,throw some curry leaves over it and serve hot with biryani or any pulav you love.
