Crispy Mushroom Fry (Indian style)
MUSHROOMS !!! My versatile option..This Mushroom fry will be so crisp and could be served as a starter or an evening snack.I made this with pasta. It was a hit in my home..We do it often these days .This is my second mushroom recipe here.. In a day's gap of course. :-) Yup ! cause I love them so much. You do so? Let's see how it turns for you.
This is a quick recipe and you can make it in 10 mins.Interesting isn't it?
Preparation time : 3 mins
Cooking time: 6-7 mins
Serves : 1 Plate
Ingredients
Button Mushrooms / Chestnut Mushrooms - 200 gm
Rice Flour - 2 tbsp
Wheat Flour / Maida (All purpose flour) - 1.5 tbsp
Black Pepper Powder-2 tsp
Water-2 tbsp
Oil-2 tbsp
Salt to taste
The Magic Formula
- Wash the mushrooms thoroughly.Cut the mushroom into thin slices.
- Mix the sliced mushrooms with other ingredients into a semi dry mixture so that they are coated. If you find them more watery add little rice flour to it.
- Heat a tbsp oil in a pan and place half of the mushrooms.
- Fry them till the side is brown and flip over .
- Roast both sides till they are crisp.
If you slice them so thin the fry will be like crispy chips and can be served with main course as a side-dish.
Serve them with tomato chutney, ketchup or mayo and enjoy.
Try it and say me how it turned out !
